About Asil
Asilcan Simsek was born and raised in Istanbul. He stepped into the hair world when he was just 14 years old.
After working in many different salons in Istanbul, he met his mentor Kazim Caliskan. Kazim taught him how to master the teasing balayage technique, which paved the road to his creative genius.
In 2015 Asil moved to New York City, ready to chase the American Dream. Within his first year in NYC Asil became a six-figure independent hairstylist and taught his first independent workshop.
Asil was growing within the hair scene and on social media. His hair-inspired social media accounts went viral, and he became one of the most influential hair colorists. Asil's social media pages currently have a collective following of over 800,000.
Currently, Asil maintains his clientele while traveling to share his passion worldwide. He is Truss Professional Global Ambassador and has been featured in Beauty Launchpads 2019 30 under 30, nominated for the 2019 AIA Awards Hair Colorist of the Year, and 11X Behind The Chair #OneShot Nominee.
